Basic Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Type 45 WPM
- Able to work as part of a team
- Multi-tasking & people skills essential
- Able to follow instructions, prioritize appropriately and make good decisions
- Able to communicate effectively in English (verbally & written)
- Hearing within normal range
- Available to work any shift (weekends, days/nights, holidays)
Extensive Training Program on all positions in the Communications Center to include:
- TCOLE Telecommunication License
- TCIC/NCIC Basic Certification
- NAEMD Advanced Medical Priority Dispatch Certification
- Basic CPR Certification

We capture essential information to successfully process requests for Police, Fire and Medical Service and dispatch responders within the city limits of Richardson.
